MENTORSHIP, TUTORING, AND EDUCATION FOR PHOTOGRAPHERS AND EDITORS

Your photography is an art but it is also a craft, and there is no faster way to learn than guided hands-on practice of new skills. I had a number of mentors that critiqued my work and taught me techniques early on, and I am forever grateful for those opportunities. To help pass that on, I’m currently accepting a limited number of one-on-one mentorships per year, along with select tutoring and basic education under these topics.

  • Beginner to advanced camera operation, from exposure and lens settings to menu items (more advanced with Canon)

  • How to build the best gear kit specifically for your style (with both a minimal and a larger budget)

  • How to switch from amateur to professional photography

  • How to set up shoots with models and build a portfolio

  • Basic Lightroom editing (file management, crucial tools and workflow, basic slider editing)

  • Advanced Lightroom editing (preset management, advanced develop tools, camera profiles, etc)

  • Understanding color and light, and knowing how to use them with intention in editing

  • Basic Photoshop enhancement (manual): color toning, selective adjustment, basic blemish removal

  • Intermediate Photoshop enhancement: advanced blemish removal and editorial skin smoothing, portrait editing, landscape editing, advanced tool usage

  • How to create your own Lightroom presets

    Tutoring sessions are 60 minutes and range from $100 to $250 depending on experience level and number of hours booked. Let me know your hopes and experience below, and we’ll create a plan from scratch to get you where you want to be as soon as possible.
